Graduates celebrating on a Malaysian university lawn
Free enrolment guidance since 2022

Pick your course once. Pick it right.

Every year thousands of Malaysian school leavers enrol in programmes that never suited them. Paintlink pairs you with a counsellor who shortlists courses around your grades, your budget and the career you actually want — then walks your application to the finish line.

How it works

From "no idea" to enrolled, in four honest steps

We are paid a placement fee by universities after you enrol — the same fee they would spend on advertising. That is why our counselling never costs you anything, and why we can afford to tell you when a cheaper programme is the better one.

Tell us your story

Share your results, interests and budget in a relaxed session — at our Bangsar office, on a call, or over WhatsApp.

Get a real shortlist

Within days you receive a side-by-side comparison of matched programmes: entry requirements, full fees, intakes and campus life.

Unlock funding

We check every shortlisted option against current scholarships, bursaries and early-bird rebates before you decide.

Enrol with backup

Applications, offer letters, EMGS or student visas — your counsellor handles the paperwork and stays reachable until orientation day.

Destinations

Five countries, one application partner

Stay close to home or go further — we hold direct representation agreements in five destinations, so your application lands on the right desk.

  • MalaysiaWorld-ranked private universities at a fraction of overseas cost, plus twinning routes.
  • AustraliaPost-study work visas up to four years and strong pathways for Malaysian qualifications.
  • United KingdomThree-year degrees, one-year master's — recognised everywhere.
  • New ZealandSmall classes, safe cities and generous credit transfer from Malaysian diplomas.
  • IrelandEurope's tech and pharma hub, with two-year stay-back rights for graduates.

Funding

The scholarship you never heard about is the one you miss

Most university awards are never advertised outside the campus website — and many close months before the intake. Because we work inside admissions offices all year, your counsellor knows which awards are still open, what the real cut-offs are, and how to stack a merit award with an early-enrolment rebate.

  • Merit scholarships from 25% to full tuition waivers
  • Needs-based bursaries and sibling discounts
  • PTPTN guidance for eligible local programmes
  • Early-bird and alumni rebates most applicants overlook

Families we've helped

Word for word, from recent enrolments

"My daughter was set on a course we could not afford. Her Paintlink counsellor found a nearly identical programme with a 50% merit award we didn't know existed. She starts in September."

Mdm. Rohana A., mother of a foundation student — Shah Alam

"I compared three agents before choosing. Paintlink was the only one that showed me the full fee schedule for every option, including the ones that paid them less."

Daniel T., business degree student — Penang

"After six years working, I assumed a master's was out of reach. They matched me to a weekend MBA twenty minutes from my office and sorted the employer sponsorship letter too."

Kavitha R., part-time MBA candidate — Kuala Lumpur
Questions parents ask us

Straight answers, no fine print

Partner universities pay us a placement fee after a student enrols — money they would otherwise spend on marketing. You pay the same tuition whether you apply through us or directly; the difference is that with us you also get comparison, scholarship checks and paperwork support.

No — and we put that in writing. Your shortlist always shows every matched programme side by side with full fees, and our counsellors are salaried, not commissioned per institution. A student who enrols in the right place recommends us to three friends; one who regrets their choice tells everyone. Our business only works if the fit is right.

Almost always. Between diploma pathways, foundation programmes with flexible entry, and credit-transfer routes, there are more doors than most school leavers realise. Bring us your actual results and we will map what is genuinely open — not what looks good in a brochure.

Yes. We can review the offer you are holding, check whether a scholarship or rebate applies to it, and compare it against alternatives before you pay a deposit. Plenty of families come to us exactly at this stage.

Twelve months before departure is comfortable; nine is workable; six gets tight once visa appointments and English tests enter the picture. Australia and the UK have predictable timelines, but scholarship deadlines often close half a year before the intake — that is usually the binding constraint.

Both. Around a third of our enrolments are professionals upgrading through part-time degrees, master's programmes and MBAs. We also advise on APEL entry routes that convert work experience into admission credit.

A 45-minute conversation — in person in Bangsar, by phone or video. We go through results, interests, budget and timeline, and answer whatever you bring. You leave with a clear picture of your realistic routes; the written shortlist follows within three working days. No payment, no obligation, no pressure to decide on the spot.
