Foundation programmes
The quickest bridge between school and a bachelor's degree — twelve months, one campus, and in many cases a guaranteed seat in year one of your chosen degree.
Who a foundation suits
A foundation is built by a university as the on-ramp to its own degrees. If you already have a direction in mind — business, engineering, computing, health sciences, law or design — it gets you there a full year faster than most alternatives, with assessment spread across coursework rather than one heavy exam season.
It is usually the right call when three things line up: you finished SPM, IGCSE or O-Levels with credits in the required subjects; you are fairly sure of your broad field; and you want the smoothest possible progression into a specific university's degree. Change your mind mid-year and a good counsellor can still re-route you — that is part of what we watch for.
What your grades unlock
| Typical entry | Annual tuition (RM) | Progression |
|---|---|---|
| 5 credits incl. required subjects | 18,000 – 32,000 | Guaranteed entry to partnered degrees |
| 5 credits with strong maths/science | 22,000 – 38,000 | Engineering, computing & health science tracks |
| 3–4 credits | 15,000 – 24,000 | Flexible-entry foundations or diploma route instead |
Figures are indicative 2026 ranges across our partner campuses in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor; scholarships routinely reduce them by 25–100%.
What we check before you enrol
- Does the foundation progress into the exact degree you want — or only "related" ones?
- Is progression guaranteed at a stated GPA, and what happens if you miss it?
- Will the credential be recognised if you later switch universities?
- Which merit awards apply automatically to your SPM or IGCSE results?
Results in hand and clock ticking?
Most foundation intakes run January, April and September — tell us your subjects and we'll map what's open.
